How Much Does a Fredericksburg Wine Tour Cost? (2026 Prices)

Quick answerIn 2026, Creekstreet's Fredericksburg wine tours run $150–$175 per person for a shared 3-winery day with tasting fees included, $174 per person for a private tour (4-ticket minimum), and $250 per person for the Starlight evening tour. Prices exclude 8.25% sales tax and gratuity.

The short answer: a guided Fredericksburg wine tour with Creekstreet costs $150 to $250 per person, depending on the tour you choose, before tax and tip. The longer answer is worth a few minutes, because “price per person” can mean very different things from one tour to the next.

Here’s what actually drives the cost, what our tours include, and the costs that sneak up on people who plan the day themselves.

What Does a Creekstreet Wine Tour Cost in 2026?

These are our current per-person prices. Every daytime tour runs about five hours, from 11am to 4pm.

What Drives the Price of a Wine Tour?

Shared or private

A shared tour fills a vehicle with several parties, which keeps the per-seat price down. A private tour gives your group the vehicle, the driver and the itinerary. On our Private Platinum Plus tour, you can pick 3 wineries from our list of 40+ — or tell us your taste and we’ll choose. Groups smaller than four can buy four tickets and still have the vehicle to themselves.

The vehicle

The same tour costs a little more in a stretch limo than in our walk-in Sprinter van — $10 more per person on both Gold and Silver. The van is the lowest price per seat and has room to stand up and move around. The limo has the leather, the starlight ceiling and a front “bridal door.”

Lunch

Lunch is the main difference between Gold and Silver. Gold includes a gourmet box lunch from Sozial Haus; Silver lets you bring your own and eat during a 25–30 minute stop at the first winery. If you’d rather not pack a picnic, Gold is the simpler day.

Tasting fees — included or not

This is the line item that makes tour prices hard to compare. Some tours and shuttles charge for transportation only, and you pay a tasting fee at every winery you visit. Our Gold, Silver and Private Platinum Plus tours include tasting fees at all three wineries, so the price you see covers the wine you taste.

Tax, gratuity and booking fees

Our prices don’t include 8.25% Texas sales tax or gratuity, and booking online adds a small booking fee. A quick example: a Gold tour by van is $165, plus $13.61 in tax, is $178.61 before tip.

What Are the Hidden Costs of a DIY Wine Day?

Planning your own wine day can look cheaper at first. It often isn’t, once you add it up — and the costs aren’t just dollars.

Tasting fees at every stop. On your own, you’ll typically pay a separate tasting fee at each winery, per person. Fees vary by winery and by flight, and they add up quickly over three or four stops.

A designated driver. Someone in your group has to stay sober for the whole day — which means one person pays for the trip without really getting the tasting. The alternatives (rideshare in the Hill Country, taxis between rural wineries) are unreliable and add their own costs.

Reservations and logistics. Many Fredericksburg wineries now require or strongly recommend tasting reservations, especially on weekends. That means booking each stop, timing the drives between them on a busy Highway 290, and hoping one late arrival doesn’t knock the rest of the day off schedule.

Lunch and water. On your own, you’ll find, pay for and fit in lunch somewhere along the route. On our Gold tour, lunch, bottled water and snacks are already on board.

None of this means a DIY day is wrong. If you have a sober driver who’s happy to sit out, it can work well. But compare totals, not headlines.

How Do You Pay, and What If Plans Change?

There’s no deposit. We hold your seats with a card and take payment at the last stop of the day, by card or cash.

If you need to cancel more than 48 hours ahead, we charge $60 per canceled seat. Inside 48 hours, or a no-show, the full price is charged. Partial cancellations follow the same rule.

Which Tour Is the Best Value?

  • Best value overall: the Silver Wine Tour by van at $150 — three wineries with tasting fees paid, if you’re happy to bring lunch.
  • Easiest day: the Gold Wine Tour at $165 — lunch, tastings and transportation all handled. It’s our most popular tour.
  • Most personal: Private Platinum Plus at $174 with a 4-ticket minimum — your vehicle, your wineries.
  • Special occasion: the Starlight Wine Tour at $250 — sunset tastings, dinner and a drive under the stars.

Gold and Silver tours also carry bottled water and snacks, and the stretch limos are stocked with glasses, corkscrews and water.
